About Us
Eldorado Park Muslim School (EMS) officially opened in February 1997. The school
was established to provide a facility that caters for both secular and Islamic
education. The government schools in the immediate vicinity do not cater for
Islamic education as a subject. Muslim learners are therefore compelled to
attend Islamic classes after normal school hours. These learners are deprived in
participating in extramural activities and hence deprived from developing
holistically. However, the school is open to community members from all
religious, social, and cultural background.
The school started functioning with only three pupils. The demand for such a school within the community led to a dramatic increase in the enrollment of learners. The average learner roll of 150 learners during yearly admission has been consistent for the past fifteen years. However, the roll for this year is 140 learners. EMS currently caters for learners from grade 1 to grade 7. We closed our grade R class in 2020 due to pandemic.
